Another Lehigh Valley High School football game postponed due to COVID

Friday night’s Jim Thorpe football game at Notre Dame-Green Pond has been postponed to 6 p.m. Monday in Easton due to contact tracing among the Crusaders, according to a statement from the Allentown Diocese.

Logan Castellano (21) and his Notre Dame-Green Pond teammates will have to wait until Monday to play their Week 5 game against visiting Jim Thorpe, due to contact tracing at Notre Dame-GP.
Coach Phil Stambaugh’s club are 4-0 this season. Mark Rosenberger’s Olympians are 2-2.
The teams met last year in the District 11 Class 3A playoffs, with the victory of Notre Dame-GP.
This is the third Colonial League-Schuylkill League game postponed this season. Earlier, Bangor in Blue Mountain and Northern Lehigh in Tamaqua were pushed back from Friday to Monday.
Panther Valley has had its first two games canceled due to COVID.
