Bluebirds reach agreement with Solomon Nwabuokei – News
Pete Wild has moved to complete his second signing as Bluebirds boss with highly rated midfielder Solomon Nwaboukei joining the club following his departure from Woking.
The 26-year-old box-to-box midfield star was one of Woking’s standout performers last season, making 41 appearances for The Cards during their National League campaign.
An energetic and determined competitor who can also operate in defense if needed, Nwaboukei was transferred to Woking after catching the eye during a brilliant two-season spell with St Albans City.
A step into the EFL with Barrow marks the next chapter in a meteoric rise for Nwaboukei, who rose through the ranks at Biggleswade Town where he was named Young Player of the Year in 2018/19.
“Solomon is a player I faced twice last season and I’ve kept an eye on him since then because he has real energy and enthusiasm,” commented the Wild boss.
“When we arrived in the building here, we quickly identified that we had some very good footballers, so it was about adding energy and players who can compete more in possession and in possession.
“People might see him as a left field signing, but I think he has so much potential to take it to the next level and sometimes you have to think outside the box.
“He has so many fantastic attributes; he does the bad side of the game very well and now it’s our job as coaches to make him even better in other areas, so we’re really glad he’s here.
