BRIAN Gilmour insists consistency is the key message for young Gers as they prepare to welcome the Cumbernauld Colts to Dumbarton on Tuesday night.

Gilmour highlighted the opportunity for young people to show off their skills on the pitch and in training before each game.

Addressed exclusively to RangersTV Ahead of their next league game, Team B’s assistant coach outlined what they expect from the game. He said: “This is another game in the league campaign that itself will bring challenges.

“This will be our third game in the space of a week or so, we will prepare as we always do, and it will give the opportunity for another game to come up and I hope we have another performance and a victory there … a well.

“It’s another tough tie, we knew when we got into this program it was always going to be a challenge, but we’ll look at ourselves and at our own levels in terms of what we can achieve.

“Looking at our last games we have reached very high levels and we have also been pretty consistent throughout the two games. “

Gilmour highlighted the chance young players have to impress and show off their abilities every day in training. He added: “Consistency is one of the most important key messages with young players.

“Our consistency levels evolved longer throughout the game, that will be a key message. The opportunity will be given, there is always an opportunity not only in the game but every day in training to go impress and stand out.

“It won’t be any different on Tuesday night with the squad that is on the lineup, we will always have those expectations.”
