Central Coast All-Star Football Game Set for Friday in Salinas

A number of football players from Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito counties will participate in the 36th Annual Central Coast 2021 All-Star Football Game at Rabobank Stadium in Salinas on Friday at 7 p.m.

The game will benefit local charities Children’s Shopping Tour and Tatum’s Tree House. Donation bins will be set up around the stadium to support these causes. The winning team will receive a bonus donation for their cause.

The players were nominated for the game by their high school coaches.

Joseph Oliveira and Cesar Quiroz of Soquel, and Andrew Hendrickson and Aidan Williams of Monte Vista Christian School will be among the players competing for Tatum’s Treehouse, coached by Steven Zenk of Salinas.

Tatum’s Treehouse will also include players from Alisal, Carmel, Christopher, Gilroy, Gonzales, King City, Marina, North Salinas, Salinas, San Benito, Seaside and Stevenson.

Kyle Luis of Aptos, Jack Bacon of Santa Cruz, Josh Bendix, Mateo Donato and Caleb Womack, Carlton Keegan of Scotts Valley, Nolan Smith, Caden Stratton and Isaiah Velez and Joshua Alvarez of St. Francis, Noel Aquino, Johrdan Garibay and Charlie Valencia will be part of the Children’s Shopping Tour, which will be coached by North Monterey County’s Juan Cuevas.

The kids’ shopping tour will also include players from Alisal, Alvarez, Greenfield, King City, NMC, Pacific Grove, Palma, Rancho San Juan, San Benito, Soledad and Stevenson.

General admission is $15. Admission for seniors and students with school ID is $10. All young players and cheerleaders wearing the youth football team jersey or jacket will enter for $5. Parking is $5.
