Father gets emotional as 16-year-old makes debut for Brazilian football club Palmeiras

It is an emotional moment for parents when their children succeed and achieve their childhood dreams. Something similar was observed in Brazil when a 16 year old boy made his professional debut for Brazilian football club SE Palmeiras on October 6 as a second-half substitute in their 4-0 win over Coritiba.

Endrick Felipe became the youngest player to play professionally for SE Palmeiras at 16 years, two months and 16 days. Sitting in the stands, his father became emotional and had tears in his eyes as his son looked for him after the match to offer him his match shirt.

A video posted on the Good News Movement Instagram page captures the touching moment when Felipe came to give his father his match shirt.

“Beautiful. There is no greater joy than seeing your children flourish,” one Instagram user commented. “All the hard work parents do for their children,” wrote another. “When the boy was a small child, he asked his father for food and the father started crying because they had no food. The child told his father that he would be a player professional and that he would help the family. At 16, the kid turned professional and has already given his family a completely better life. Endrick has a high chance of being a great football player. His story is famous in Brazil as he was already attracting attention due to his football skills since he was around 10 years old,” another person posted.

Endrick Felipe is considered one of Brazil’s brightest prospects and is already catching the eye of some of Europe’s biggest clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona and PSG.
