Johnson Wins DC Touchdown Club College Football Player of the Week Honor Roll

WASHINGTON DC – Bowie State’s Ja’rome Johnson has been named to the DC Touchdown Club Washington Metro College Football Player of the Week honor roll, announced Tuesday afternoon.

The 6-foot-1 senior quarterback recovered from an ankle injury and completed 15 of 31 passes for 244 yards and two second-half touchdowns as the Bulldogs advanced to the quarterfinals of the Division II of the NCAA for the first time in school history with a 13-10 victory over Newberry.

The award marks the fourth time Johnson has been named to the DC Touchdown Club College Football Player of the Week honor list. The Washington, DC native was the only Bulldog to be named the DC Touchdown Club Washington Metro College Football Player of the Week in the regular season while Bowie State won a total of eight honor roll accolades between the second year.
