Marlon Ritter’s sensational shot from 50 yards out cleared Freiburg goalkeeper Mark Flekken and put the hosts ahead in the 33rd minute.

Freiburg turned up the pressure after the break but needed an 82nd-minute equalizer from substitute Roland Sallai, who linked up with fellow substitute Nils Petersen to extend the game.
