Northern Colorado Hailstorm Football Club announce preseason schedule – Greeley Tribune

It’s almost time for professional football to begin in Windsor with Northern Colorado Hailstorm Football Club’s preseason kicking off at the end of the month.

Hailstorm will face the Colorado Springs Switchbacks on February 26 in a closed game to start its first season, just 10 days after the players showed up for official practices.

The team will face the Switchbacks again in April in the second round of the 2022 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup in Colorado Springs, which runs from April 5-7. The final date and time have not been set and will be announced later.

Additionally, Hailstorm will take on Peak XI FC at Centaurus High School in Louisville on March 18. The team will next face Rapids 2, the MLS Next Pro organization of the Colorado Rapids, on March 20 at Jackson Stadium at the University of Northern Colorado.

Both games will be free to all fans, although they are encouraged to donate to the United for Boulder County Wildfire Fund. The fund will support communities that remain impacted by the Marshall Fire, which began Dec. 30. Fans can donate before games or on game days.

Hailstorm FC will begin the USL One regular season on the road on April 9 against the Richmond Kickers. The first home game is scheduled for June 8 when the North Carolina Football Club comes to town.
