Minnesota runs a 4-2-3-1 formation with Emanuel Reynoso, Robin Lod and Luis Amarilla leading a high-pressure offense. Lod leads the club with three goals, while Reynoso has been a fixture for the club, with two goals and four assists in eight games played. Amarillo also plays aggressively in the forward position with the help of the Loons’ talented midfielders who make excellent passes that have created high percentage shots. Minnesota sits above the league average for high press kicks, while limiting opponents to just six total goals this season. They are a dangerous team in transition and excellent on set pieces. So far in 2022, they have proven they know how to pressure the defense to generate shots into the box.

Reynoso gets off to a good start, using the high-pressure offense and creating problems for the LAFC defense. If they can create set pieces and generate shots in the box, it will hurt LAFC.
