The Keighley company pledges its support for the town – and the football club
A GROWING business has pledged its commitment to Keighley – and Silsden AFC.
Simply Ventilation was established just two years ago but has already been involved in some of the country’s biggest projects, including the new Co-op Arena in Manchester and the biggest residential project ever in London.
Now the company – based at the Aire Valley Business Center in Lawkholme Lane – has entered into a two-year endorsement partnership with Silsden AFC, sponsoring the football club’s Main Stand.
Simply Ventilation Director Will Twigg said: “We’ve had a banner year and despite some industry talk of a downturn, we’re optimistic that 2023 will continue that trend.
“We believe it is extremely important to support local community projects, especially a club like Silsden which I have followed for many years. We are delighted to be able to support Silsden AFC in the future, underlining our commitment to giving back to the community football and especially grassroots football.”
He added: “We have quickly become the market leader for many products, particularly noise attenuation and noise control solutions, but it is a pleasure to say that we were founded in Keighley and have intend to stay there.”
Silsden AFC have made considerable investment in their Keighley Road ground in recent years, including a new hospitality suite, and are looking to build on what has been achieved.
Club Vice-Chairman John Lohan said: “We are very grateful to Simply Ventilation for their support.
“It’s an exciting time at Silsden – with a new management team and a plethora of new players – and it’s investment and support like this that helps us promote the club, as we only rely on the volunteer assistance and sponsorship revenue.”
Silsden AFC, founded in 1904, play in the Northern Counties East Football League First Division.
There has been a busy pre-season schedule and the league campaign begins at Bootsford Town on Saturday July 30.
This month the club staged a ‘legendary’ charity match against former local rivals Keighley Phoenix, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
A junior match was held before the senior match, and there was a comedian and draw in the clubhouse.
Silsden AFC, who also have a thriving juniors section and women’s teams, are keen to hear from any other companies or individuals interested in offering sponsorship. Mr Lohan can be contacted on 07725 703937.
