Turriff companies will face off in a charity football match

Companies Turriff Chapman Electrical and Ardinn Homes will take to the field next month in a charity football game to help promote mental health awareness.

Let’s Kick This Together will raise funds for two local charities, Turning Point and Home Start, whose services include mental health support.

The match will take place at The Haughs on Saturday June 4 and, in addition to the main event, it will be a family day with food and fun activities for the kids throughout the afternoon.

This is the first year that the match has taken place, but it is hoped that it will become an annual event with other companies involved in a mini-tournament.

The main event sponsor is Annie Kenyon Developments. The two companies have worked together for the company for more than 15 years. Annie is regularly involved in organizing and supporting annual charity events and fundraisers, so getting her on board to help organize Let’s Kick this Together was a natural progression.

Darren Findlay of Chapman Electrical said: ‘We all work together regularly on projects for Annie Kenyon Developments so it seemed like a good idea to take it a step further and get together and laugh outside of work while fundraising. at the same time.

“We chose both charities because they operate in this region and the work they do and have done throughout the pandemic has been crucial in supporting local and North East communities.”

To assist with fundraising activities, Bridgend Aggregates of King Edward is the game ball sponsor. A number of other sponsorship opportunities are available, including the ability to sponsor a player for £20.

Raffle donations for the draw, which will take place at the club house after the match, are also being sought.

Ryan Morrison of Ardinn Homes said: “We hope this will bring the community together to support two very worthwhile charities.

“It would be fantastic to see a good turnout coming out to support the teams, have fun and enjoy a family day out. We haven’t set a fundraising goal, but we already have some great raffle prizes and we just want to raise as much as possible.

“If people are having fun and we can help even one person because of it, we will be happy.”

The game will start at 2 p.m. Anyone wishing to get involved, donate raffles or sponsor a player, can contact Annie Kenyon at annie@akenyondevelopments.com 01464 851621 or Jacqui Adams of Chapman Electrical at jacqui@chapmanelectricalltd.co.uk
